It’s important that there’s at least two millimeters of surface area of tooth for crowns or abutments to properly bond to, preventing possible complications like weakened or compromised restorations.
Gum Recontouring
Similar to crown lengthening, gum recontouring redefines the shape of your gumline to expose more of your dental structure. However, this procedure is more designed to achieve ideal cosmetic results instead of specific functional ones. Dr. Almasri will remove excess gum tissue to reveal more of your tooth structure, creating a more even ratio of gums to teeth for a confident and healthy-looking smile.
