PERIODONTIST WITH OVER 2 DECADES OF EXPERIENCE

SEDATION AVAILABLE FOR MORE COMFORTABLE TREATMENTS

IN-NETWORK WITH MOST MAJOR DENTAL INSURANCES

Oral Conscious Sedation

Administered in the form of a single pill that you’ll take before your visit, oral conscious sedation is typically utilized before more mild treatments, like periodontal cleanings or scaling and root planing. The medication helps soothe any fears or anxiety you may feel as a result of your upcoming procedure, and the effects will last for most of the day. That’s why you’ll need to have a trusted friend or family member scheduled to drop you off and pick you up from our office.

IV Sedation

IV sedation administers the medication directly into the bloodstream for fast-acting effects. Within a short moment, you’ll feel a calming wave wash over you. Many of our patients don’t remember anything from their surgery or treatment, meaning there will be no negative memories to look back on afterwards. The sedation can also be easily adjusted during your treatment based on your reaction, and one of our professionals will closely monitor your vitals throughout your procedure.

Intramuscular Sedation

Intramuscular sedation involves administering medication directly into muscles in the upper arm or thigh to help you relax during your procedure. Beforehand, Dr. Almasri will take a detailed medical and oral history to ensure you’re a good candidate for this sedation method.
